The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience managing a high volume import dealership, (Preferably Honda but not a must). Not to mention knows the automotive business backward and forward and can anticipate changes in the industry before they occur. We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who can take advantage of our competitive bonus structure for the benefit of both the dealership and him or herself. You will be responsible for meeting predetermined bench marks in all areas of the dealership including, both Fixed and Variable Operations.

    Responsibilities

    General Manager:

    • Responsible for Interviewing, hiring, training, and development of all management personnel
    • Executing performance evaluations for all departmental managers including both fixed and variable operations.
    • Devising dealership goals and objectives on a yearly basis and submitting forecast projections to Director of Operations for approval.
    • Consistent communication with Corporate Comptroller to compare forecast with annual projections
    • Observation of daily dealership activities and communicating suggested improvements to department managers when needed
    • Weekly Management meetings to discuss monthly forecast, discuss personnel needs, and develop an action plan for needed corrections
    • Overseeing the monthly financial statement to ensure it is complete, accurate and submitted on time to the management/dealership owners
    • Developing strong relationships building between the dealership, manufacturer, and captive financial institution
    • Concentrating on any and all need customer resolutions whenever management is unable to resolve the issue.
    • Cultivate a Dealership work culture which promotes positive employee attitudes and morale
    • Responsible for composing and maintaining compensation plans for all dealership personnel
    • Constitute appropriate and effective advertising, merchandising, and community involvement programs.
    • Ensure all dealership personnel have a definitive understanding of all company policies and procedures

    Qualifications

    General Manager:

    • Five years of General Manager experience
    • Previous experience with an import manufacturer, (Honda is preferred but not a must)
    • Experience in a high volume dealership
    • Proficiency with use of a computer is a must
    • Time management intelligence
    • Accomplished at managing people
    • High school diploma or higher
    • Great driving record
    • Must pass a drug screen
